Awkwafina An American performer and actress, started with a series of rap songs which dealt with the subject of sexual and race. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood following the release of a series of raps. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was through the instrument of trumpet. Jazz, classical and hip-hop education began when she was in her teens. While at school, she majored in journalism and women's studies at college, even studying Mandarin in Beijing for a time. The focus changed to music only after she finished her studies. After becoming famous via the Internet the My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also featured viral hits like the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$1. The song was directly connected to Awkwafinas NYC, her travel guide for 2015. She decided to pursue a career as an actor following the completion of her previous two endeavors, author and musician. In addition to early shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films such as Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. She had a breakthrough role in the year 2018, with several notable films like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP in Fina We Trust.
